Meet Lyra – A Talented Grade QH Pony from Lucky 7 Horse Rescue (Isanti, MN)
I’ve had the privilege of working with Lyra as part of the Battle of the Best Training Competition, and she has truly earned her place as a standout equine partner. Countless hours have gone into building a foundation of trust, both under saddle and in harness—and she’s shown heart, intelligence, and athleticism every step of the way.
Lyra is a well-mannered, level-headed pony with exceptional ground manners, making her a joy to handle both at home and out at events. She trailers like a pro—walks on easily and backs out calmly—and is always ready to learn something new.
With her superb temperament and trainability, Lyra shows real promise for a future in dressage or jumping. While she is still green and has not yet cantered under saddle, she is very responsive to cues and a quick learner who enjoys working.
If you're looking for a smart, willing partner to bring through dressage levels and jumping; Lyra has the potential and the personality to go far.
